Dr David Ceselsky

After graduating from Charles University in Prague in 2001 and spending five years working in private general practice, David developed an interest in cosmetic dentistry.
To enhance his skills he undertook postgraduate courses in root canal treatments and implant placements.
Now he accepts referral for both expert root canal treatments and dental implants.
David is a perfectionist, and the pursuit of excellence is what drives his work.
When there is free time, David enjoys mountain biking, skiing and days out with his family.
Dr Rocio Hidalgo Acedo

Rocio, originally from Spain, qualified as a dentist from University of Granada in 2008, before moving to the UK in 2009.
She enjoys providing all aspects of general dentistry in a friendly, relaxed and comfortable environment. Her gentle nature instantly puts her patients at ease.
Away from work, she loves travelling, cooking and spending time with her family.
Dr Helen House

Helen graduated from the University of Sheffield in 1989 and have been part of the team at Ashby Dental Practice since 2018.
Helen is very friendly, and takes great pride in providing care and support to her patients with both enthusiasm and compassion.
Outside of work, she enjoys staying active through regular workouts, walks and also love experimenting in the kitchen, and spending quality time with family and friends. She is also passionate about skiing and loves discovering new places.
Dr Ellis Weatherly

Ellis joined the Ashby Dental team in 2021.
He is originally from Newcastle but now lives in Sheffield, so he has got to know the M18 very well over the last few years!
Ellis enjoys all aspects of general Dentistry, and has recently completed a year long PGCert in Restorative Dentistry, which has allowed him to develop his skills further. Ellis is a very communicative and easy-to-talk-to dentist.
In his free time, he enjoys watching football, eating at great restaurants, and going on lovely walks in the Peak district with his family and friends.
Dr Sonia Gonzales

Sonia has over 25 years of experience as a doctor and has recently developed an interest in facial aesthetics.
Sonia is very enthusiastic about her job and has a very good eye for aesthetics.
Her main goal is to help individuals enhance their confidence and achieve the best version of themselves while maintaining a natural appearance.
What she loves the most is spending time with her lovely family.
Sara Carr

Sara joined the practice in 2025 and qualified as a Dental Therapist in 2014 at The University of Sheffield after working as a Dental Nurse for 5 years.
Sara enjoys the transformation of a mouth to a clean one and likes to empower her patietns to be able to care for their mouths better.
Outside of work Sara likes working out, reading, gaming and planning trips to Japan.
Kim Thompson

Kim is the heart of Ashby Dental Practice. She has been at the practice since the very first day the Practice opened its doors.
She started as a trainee Dental Nurse, then as a Dental Nurse /receptionist.
In 2006 she gained accreditation as a Practice Manager after studying for a BTEC Professional Diploma in Dental Practice Management.
Away from work, she loves working out and visiting different towns and cities.
Jane Copsey
Receptionist
Jane joined the W.R.A.F. where she qualified as a Dental Hygienist in 1973. She originally worked at Ashby Dental practice in 1988, and once again joined the practice in 2019 as a receptionist.
Jane is very smiley and approachable. She radiates positivity and makes everyone feel welcome.
In her spare time, she enjoys walking, reading, gardening and spending time with her grandchildren.
Macey Day
Trainee Dental Nurse
Macey has joined Ashby Dental Practice as a trainee Dental Nurse hoping to help and improve people’s lives.
She previously worked in retail and hospitality which improved her skills in communication.
She hopes to pursue her career in dentistry as far as possible over the next few years.
Her hobbies are going to the gym, and walking her dog.

Vicki qualified as a Dental Nurse in 2019, and in 2022 she received additional training in dental implants for dental nurses.
Vicki is very friendly and empathetic, and makes patients feel comfortable and at ease during dental procedures.
Vicki enjoys family days out, long walks with her dog and visiting new places.
Nayeemah Sheikh
Trainee Dental Nurse
Nayeemah is a trainee dental nurse with aspirations of advancing in her field later on in the future.
Her background in childcare has significantly changed her character, instilling patience and empathy.
Outside of her professional life, Nayeemah enjoys travelling, cherishing moments with family and friends, and expressing her creativity through Henna art.

Sam is very supportive and caring, and she really enjoys helping make each patient’s visit as relaxed, friendly and comfortable as possible.
When she is not at work, she loves going for runs, taking long walks with her dog, and spending time with her family.

Senior Dental Nurse / Radiographer

Jo joined the Practice in 2006 and qualified as a Dental Nurse in 2008. She is also qualified in Radiography, taking impressions, and applying Fluoride.
Jo is friendly and has a compassionate nature.
Away from work she enjoys walking her Labrador Sadie, going away with her husband in the touring caravan, socialising with friends and family, and loves being a mum to her three sons and a nanny to her granddaughters.
