David qualified from Sheffield University in 1986 and has a wide range of experience in all aspects of dentistry, gained from 35 years in general practice. David has a special interest in extractions and trying to make dentistry as stress free as possible. Particularly for anxious patients.

David lives in Sheffield and has two teenage children, hence the grey hair. Also, a keen golfer, cyclist and supporter of Leeds United.

I joined Ashby Dental Practice in 2021, I graduated from the University of Liverpool in 2019 and have since enjoyed my career in General Dental Practice.

Outside of work I to cook (and eat). Go for walks in the countryside and watch live sports.

Having worked as a beauty therapist for 15 years, I felt the need for a change of career. And being interested in dentistry since having braces as a teenager, I was fortunate to be able to begin my training as a Dental Nurse. I especially enjoy meeting and taking care of our patients and that no two days are the same.

Out of work I enjoy our ‘adventures’ with my family. Walking, camping and Kitesurfing.

I joined the Practice in 2006 and qualified as a Dental Nurse in 2008. I am also qualified in Radiography, taking impressions and applying Fluoride.

Away from work I enjoy walking my two Labradors, Molly and Sadie. Going away with my husband in our touring caravan, socialising with friends and family, And love being mum to my three sons.

I have always known that I wanted to be in a job that somehow improved people’s quality of life. And joining Ashby Dental Practice in December 2020 as an Apprentice Dental Nurse, will, I am sure give me that opportunity.

Previously I worked at a weekend at Blyton Ice Cream and think that meeting the customers, will help me interact with our patients at our Practice.

I am hoping to progress within the Practice and to achieve as much as I possibly can within Dentistry.

In my spare time I like to be creative, making art and expressing myself through composing music and playing the violin, keyboard and guitar.

I also enjoy spending time with my family and friends. Also keeping in touch with my family members who live far away.

I have gained over 30 years of experience within the Dental Profession. And I get particular satisfaction from gently educating our patients in the methods and benefit of Oral Health. And making any visit to Ashby Dental Practice as relaxing as possible.

Away from work I am a keen runner, enjoy walking my dog and spending time with my family whom I am incredibly proud of.
